Being able to speak Hawaiian, Samoan and English... really made me connect with the little girl that switched between her languages, its amazing. #eng211sp20
I was very intrigued while reading about the different stages of language development in children. As a future SLP and knowing that I will be leaning towards working with children really helps understanding the stages. #eng211sp20
@AngelicaLacso10 EXACTLY! Learning more about annotated bibliographies seem more efficient then the regular bibliographies we normally do for papers. #eng211sp20
Semantic meaning vs. Speaking meaning.... Which one do you use mainly? I feel that I use speaking meaning more then the actual semantic meaning definition. #eng211sp20
Wait whaaaat? I never broke down the word "meaning" as far as our semantics did. It just made me realize that meaning has so many different definitions. Like in the reading "I mean to do this" vs "The red signal means stop". #eng211sp20
@KarleeMcanally I felt the exact same way. How can we not have grammar rules? It just doesn't make any sense, how could language even be language if we don't understand? #eng211sp20
Can we just give thanks to the point that this class is already online and didn't have to struggle with this class transitioning to online with the whole shutdown of schools! Hope you all are staying safe out there. #eng211sp20
@Itsroxy15 I did the same before the assignment, wondering what may be important to me may be important to others! Hope you were able to figure it out! #eng211sp20
@cynthiaa_mx11 Wow, this picture made me understand the term a little further than what was discussed in our book! Thank you for posting it! #eng211sp20
