I’m travelling to my first international conference tomorrow in Sweden! Between having a non-direct flight, transporting an A0 poster, travelling alone for the first time ever and leaving the dog for 4 days, my anxiety levels are through the roof!!!

It’s my 1 year anniversary at my “new” job if I can still call it that. I feel as though I’ve accomplished and been given more opportunities in this 1 year than I did in 7 at my previous job. I still really miss seeing my work family every day though 😞.

Supporting a plant trial tomorrow at a toller. Will take ~ 1.5 hrs there but with a stop off for maccies breakfast, ~ 2hrs running the trial, afterwards will go for a pub lunch 1-2hrs, then ~1 hr back. I’ll get a free lunch and a full days pay for ~2 hrs work! Love my job!

Unpopular opinion but I thought the #HappyValleyFinale was a bit shit. Yes everything was wrapped up nicely but I was really hoping for a bit more action/twists. Sarah Lancashire was fantastic though will give her that!

It wasn’t easy leaving my comfort zone and there’s been times when I’ve questioned leaving my old job but on reflection it really has been the best thing I’ve ever done! And it’s the first time in my career that I’ve not had the January blues!

I’ve been in my new job 6 months now, in those 6 months I’ve visited customers, led a joint R&D venture with a local company, been asked to lead the biggest 2023 project on site and more - I feel I’ve grown and achieved more in these 6 months than I did in 7 years in my last job!

The day I���ve been waiting for since I was 18 has arrived! I’ve been summoned for Jury Service in 6 weeks time… I really shouldn’t be this excited for it but I am! #jurysummons

Big praise for the NHS. My 85 y/o grandma fell ill yesterday, ambulance was with her within 20 minutes, taken to hospital and seen to quickly in A&E, moved to a ward for further tests and all this for FREE! #SaveOurNHS #nhshero #nhsheroes
