This morning @BBCBreakfast shared the @RNLI advice not to use #inflatables in the sea - Should they not be encouraging people not to buy them in the first place? As well as seriously dangerous are they not a huge waste of plastic? #plasticpollution #plasticwaste #RNLI

The RNLI has now rescued 100 people from #inflatables so far this year. Our advice is to avoid using them in the sea. If you do take them in, only use them between the red and yellow flags at a lifeguarded beach. Don’t take them out in big waves or offshore winds.
