🚨⚠️ Tense situation between Viktor Gyökeres and Sporting.
Despite previous pact for exit worth fee around €65m w/add-ons, Sporting president insists on higher fee.
Price still under €100m clause but not €65m now. Gyökeres, described as furious.

All the things Johnathan said about APC came to pass!
Yesterday, we formally commissioned 14 newly rehabilitated roads across Aba and its environs, marking a significant milestone in our urban renewal and infrastructure development agenda for Abia State. This initiative represents the first phase of the 55 road projects scheduled for commissioning and groundbreaking in the coming weeks.
At St. Joseph’s College (CKC), Asa Triangle, Aba, following an extensive tour of the completed road projects, I took a moment to consider the broader impact of the progress made. The restoration of critical road networks including Umuode Road, Bakassi Road, Isu Ihiteukwa Street, Asa Road, Enyimba Junction to Ariaria Gate, and several others is strategically designed to enhance business operations, improve urban mobility, and elevate the overall livability of Aba.
Beyond asphalt and concrete, the progress also signifies the revitalization of economic opportunities, the restoration of public confidence, and the reinforcement of our collective aspirations for a thriving city.
I extend my sincere appreciation to the business owners, landlords, and residents for their patience and unwavering support throughout the execution of these projects. Their cooperation has been instrumental in making the project a success. I also commend the Abia State Ministry of Works and the Greater Aba Development Authority (GADA), under the capable leadership of Engr. Otumchere Oti and Arch. Uche Ukeje, respectively, for their dedication to delivering high-quality infrastructure.
As we advance, I urge all residents to take ownership of these roads and ensure their proper maintenance. These projects belong to us all, and it is our collective responsibility to prevent damage from unregulated commercial activities, uphold environmental cleanliness, and safeguard the integrity of our urban spaces.
Aba is on a transformative path, and this is just the beginning! I extend my profound gratitude to my Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel I. Emeruwa, and other senior government officials who accompanied me on this important assignment. Your dedication and support continue to drive our shared vision for a greater, progressive and prosperous Abia State.
Today, in Abuja, along with several other notable persons, I attended the presentation of the book titled OBI: The Political Change Agent, written by the respected journalist Ike Abonyi, former Group Political Editor of ThisDay Newspapers and the founding Deputy Managing Director of New Telegraph Newspaper.
Ike Abonyi did a very good job chronicling not just a political journey, but a call for transformational leadership rooted in competence, capacity character, and compassion.
The event was also used to mark the rebirth of the Obidient Movement, an organic body formed by Nigerians who are delirious of creating a new Nigeria.
The keynote speaker at the occasion, Prof Sam Amadi, who spoke on the inevitability of a new Nigeria, provoked thoughts on how and why a new Nigeria is inevitable.
At the event, I reiterated what I have always stood for, that our votes must count and that democracy must reflect the will of the people, not the manipulation of a few.
Nigeria is at a critical crossroads, and the need for sincere, accountable leadership has never been greater. The fight is not about personal ambition, it is about the future of our children, the integrity of our institutions, and the soul of our nation.
We must continue to believe in a new Nigeria, one built on justice, equity, and service to the people.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
