@BattleJeff1@SupplantorX@ArtGuy313578051 An apple is a material, physical object. If a giant apple existed, it would occupy physical space, and be bound by the laws of nature. We can theoretically search around the universe for physical objects. Comparing an elephant sized apple to God is a ridiculous category error.
@BattleJeff1@SupplantorX@ArtGuy313578051 Well you're the person who said that God didn't exist without justifying it so the burden is on you. Avoiding what I'm telling you isn't going to help.
@wolfwalksalone@ArtGuy313578051 Notice how you gave what is rather than what ought to be? This is where the problem arises for most Christians when it comes to moral subjectivism or even relativism.
@BattleJeff1@SupplantorX@ArtGuy313578051 Provide evidence that God doesn't exist bro, you made the claim and therefore you must justify it. The burden of proof is upon you.
@kelpiebytez@gristwatch I believe in a form of Willcare but a type of care rooted in Narcissism. This doesn't really change anything. He still took the lives of innocent people, still ruined lives, and could've done way better as a parent at least. There are no excuses here. There are only reasons.
@kelpiebytez@gristwatch Whether Willcare is true or not doesn't matter. William Afton deserves to burn anyway. Within the story, he's killed children and therefore ruined the life's of families. Not only that he technically ruined Edwin's life as well. + Willcare doesn't even mean he is a good person.
@norskinoff@neterdrok@modsicko_100@uorplefever Sure but to clarify, saying he was always abusive doesn't mean he completely didn't care. It just means his version of 'caring' was deeply sick and narcissistic. There's a reason why William says "You'll always be mine" to Vanessa. His children are belongings to him.
@norskinoff@neterdrok@modsicko_100@uorplefever William may have possessed a toxic, broken form of attachment to his family, but his internal decay eventually completely consumed any humanity he had, leading to horrific negligence and abuse. Especially the fact the extensions of his own ego died one by one.
@Lucao_e_bao@modsicko_100@uorplefever The death of his child didn't create his evil nature out of nowhere that's for sure, but it also wasn't just a random event in the life of an already "evil" man. It acted as gasoline on a fire that was already smouldering inside him. It made him worse by nature.
@k_azovsky@uorplefever If that's all there is, why did Scott Cawthon bother writing a massive, multi book backstory about his obsession with family, Henry, and discovering Remnant? He isn't just evil for the sake of being evil, there are layers you know that right?
@IGNACI0RIGINAL@modsicko_100@uorplefever Yeah, William is incapable of true love due to his Narcissism. But i believe he cared through his own lens and tried. But to us Neurotypicals the methods that are shown to us are deeply flawed. But for William it's the best he could do given the way his brain is wired.
@Badger41751@Adam2345880301@uorplefever Yeah, William Afton is simply a Narcissist but because he is a Narcissist his view of care is deeply flawed. This lead to the unfortunate deaths of his children that were extensions of himself and because they were extensions, as they died, parts of him died also.
@Badger41751@Adam2345880301@uorplefever You're explaining his personality, but Adam was mostly talking about his motive in particular. Being a psychopath explains how he hid his evil personality, not why a thriving businessman randomly threw his life away to become a monster.
