Q: What is The difference between biblical assurance and hypergrace?
A: 1 John 3:9-10 (ESV)
9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.
Eternal security is found in Christ, not apart from Christ. Our confidence is not in a doctrine detached from a Person; it is in the living Christ, who is able to keep, preserve, and perfect all who abide in Him. "He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him" (Hebrews 7:25). "He is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory" (Jude 24).
However, sonship does not abolish human responsibility. Becoming a child of God does not mean you cease to be a free moral agent. God does not save you by destroying your will. Love cannot be coerced, and covenant cannot exist without response. You still possess the capacity to obey or rebel, to remain or to depart, to persevere or to forsake.
This is precisely why Jesus repeatedly commands, "Abide in Me" (John 15). Such an exhortation would be unnecessary if abiding were automatic. He warns that branches that refuse to remain in the Vine wither and are cut off (John 15:6).
Paul echoes the same truth: "Continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off" (Romans 11:22). The writer of Hebrews warns believers against "departing from the living God" (Hebrews 3:12) and repeatedly calls them to hold fast their confidence to the very end.
The believer's security is therefore the security of abiding union, not independent immunity. Christ has never failed to keep anyone who remains in Him, and He never will. His grip is unbreakable, but Scripture never encourages us to let go of Him.
The New Testament holds two glorious truths together without contradiction: God is mighty to keep, and believers are commanded to continue. We must never magnify one truth by silencing the other.
Eternal security is not a licence to drift from Christ; it is the triumphant assurance that everyone who abides in Christ is eternally secure because Christ Himself is their Keeper. If your goal is to provoke theological reflection, this version strikes a firmer, more compelling tone while staying closely aligned with the biblical exhortations to persevere.
OSAS logic:
“I didn’t do anything to be saved so I can’t do anything to lose my salvation.”
Nonsense and amala.
It’s like someone saying “I didn’t do anything to be born so I can’t do anything to die”.
Then shoots himself in the head.
Bible logic:
“You didn’t do anything to be born, God gave you his life. No man can take that life from you even if they shot you.
God won’t shoot you so be rest assured that he won’t take that life from you.
But you, don’t shoot yourself in the heart.
If you do, you will die”.
The life of God is eternal in itself whether you have it or not.
It was eternal before you had it even when you didn’t have it.
If you throw it away you have thrown away eternal life.
Like Demas, like some who have made shipwreck of their faith.
Thank you @DrFeruke
All of you parading the doctrine of Once Saved Forever Saved, I pity you all.
You pastors are subtly leading you to hell & you are not aware.
You have a license to sin at will & you flaunt it.
Keep it up o
Happy wedding anniversary to our father, Apostle Gideon Odoma @gideonodoma and Rev'd Hassana Odoma.
18 years of modelling the sacred union of Christ and the church is a blessedness.
May the Lord bless your home continuosly, sir and ma'am. Amen.
My Forever Plus One.
One year ago, God did something I didn't fully have language for yet. He didn't just give me a wife, He gave me a gift. Not a ministry gift, not a talent, not an anointing but a person, You @ogwurulobi. A literal gift, wrapped in grace, sent from His own hand.
364 days have taught me something humbling: I wasted so much time being the chairman of the singles. And then you walked in, and I understood why the wait felt long, because what God was preparing was worth every unanswered prayer, every empty season, every night I didn't know what I was waiting for. You were worth all of it.
You are my Queen. My Love. My Intercessor. My Lady-in-Red. And my own Pastor.
I am not ashamed to say it: I learn from you. Your life and your living amaze me. The simplicity of how you carry yourself humbles me when I think I've arrived. Your dreams and aspirations push me further than I would have gone alone. You teach me, quietly and consistently, how to be a better man, not by lecturing, but by living.
You are loyal when loyalty costs something. Humble when pride would have been easier. Submissive not out of weakness, but out of the deep strength of a woman who knows who she is.
You are hardworking, classy, intelligent, wise, efficient and you wear all of it without performance, without noise.
You bear with me. And that, my love, may be the most profound grace I have witnessed up close.
Only God could have designed you. Only He could have known exactly what I needed beneath what I was asking for. While He was giving gifts unto men, He reserved one gift not for the congregation but for me.
Personal. Intentional. Irreplaceable.
You are my jewel of inestimable worth.
Thank you for making life beautiful.
Thank you for making life worth living.
I love you, baby @ogwurulobi . Here's to forever, and every year that proves, once again, that God is exceedingly good.
- Your Husband.
Yours always.
Praise God! Today we celebrate Apostle @gideonodoma & Rev. Hassana Odoma.
Your marriage models a profound truth: that the home-front can remain as strong as the apostolic ministry.
Thank you for your immense impact on @RCNLagos & the Body of Christ. Happy Wedding Anniversary!

As Christians, we are called to be carriers of light in every sphere of life. Going to church is important, but the proof of our Christianity must be seen beyond the four walls of the church.
If our worship doesn't transform our conduct on the streets, in our workplaces, in government, and in society, then we have mistaken attendance for influence.
The gospel is not only meant to fill churches. It is meant to illuminate nations. SELAH
