There were signs.

Success is predictable and duplicatable.

In 2009–2010, I lived with my cousin in Biaji, across Kubwa, Abuja. We lived in a small face-me-I-face-you room.

On the wall of that tiny room, I had written and pasted everything I wanted to become and everything I was going to do to become that person.

Every morning, I would stand there and read those words out loud to myself.

At the time, it probably seemed like madness.

I had just graduated. I had no job. I would go to Wuse Market and stand there selling fairly used phones. From the little money I made, I saved enough to open a barbing salon and put a small showcase in front of it where I continued selling phones.

But even in that tiny room, with no job and very little to my name, I could already see the life I have today.

What I didn’t understand then was that seeing it was only the beginning.

I still had to go through the process of becoming the person who could carry the life I was asking God for.

Looking back now, I realize that everything I have become, I first saw in my mind’s eye.

There were signs.

The vision came first.
Then came the process.
Then came the person I needed to become.

Trust the process.
