This week we met with Bashir from Welcome House, one of Hymers Charities of the Year, to present a cheque for the £1773.78 raised!
Thank you to Bashir and the Welcome House team for the important work they are doing, and for letting our students be involved. ❤️
The 1st team hockey girls won 3-0 against the @OldHymerians.
Some quality hockey on show from both teams, but our current students showed their class in the second half with 3 great goals.
This performance built on the displays on the pre season tour.
Well done all!
This morning, Hymers History Club (HHC) gave us an informative assembly to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings in Normandy. We observed two minutes of silence, beginning with the haunting 'The Last Post' played by Miss Powell.
The staff V Year 13 leavers hockey match produced a very exciting game.
In a one sided encounter the staff team were able to score a break away goal to win 1-0.
Special thanks to our Year 13s who have given so much to school sport, some over a 10 year period.
.@NCS Life Skills sessions have started this term for students in Years 11 and 12. They aim to help develop young people's skills and confidence ready for adult life!
Well done to the students for producing these paintings which will be on display at Filey Train Station soon!
Our @NCS Life Skills group took part in a community service activity, partnering with @beverleyinbloom at Beverley Train Station.
We were proud to see them embracing the opportunity to make a positive impact in their community.
Well done Rafael, Megan, Pranav and Marceline!
The Music Department said a big 'thank you' to Year 13 yesterday and presented them with tokens (and a free lunch) in gratitude for the wonderful contribution they have made to music in the school, many since Year 4. We will miss them, but wish them all the best in the future.
