It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and brother, Mayowa Emmanuel, aged 36, who went to be with the Lord on 22 August 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mayowa was a wonderful son to his parents, a loving and devoted husband, and a loving and adorable father to his son. His passing at such a young age is a heartbreaking loss to his family, friends and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

At this difficult time, I’m appealing to everyone in the Nigerian community in the UK to please come together and support the family in any way we can.

If you are able to support the family financially, any contribution, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated and will go a long way in helping them through this difficult period.

If you are unable to give, we would be grateful if you could share this fundraiser and keep Mayowa’s wife, son, parents and loved ones in your prayers.

that they received my complaints or that they were working towards any resolution.

I couldn't take the negligence from Firstbank Nigeria anymore so I decided to do my own private investigation.

One beautiful afternoon this month, I went @LloydsBank physically as I had called

You can imagine how much pain I was in and I'm still in! So Yahoo boys are the bankers that we entrust our money to in @FirstBankngr. To think @FirstBankngr would take foreign transactions so lightly speaks greatly how useless and careless a bank they can be.

Definitely Firstbank Nigeria is aware that they have yahoo boys working for them or @FirstBankngr themselves purposefully diverted my funds for their personal use.

Anyway, my concern right now is that @FirstBankngr should be expecting to hear from my lawyer because they must

produce my money and channel it back to the right HSBC account that belongs to @DerbyUni (University of Derby) as I provided in my Form A application.

@FirstBankngr please be aware that I am involving all powerful bodies to fight this to the last both here in the UK and Nigeria
