Living Desert Zoo and Gardens State Park Closed Due to Storm Damage
“The safety of the animals is our primary concern,” said Toby Velasquez, director of New Mexico State Parks. “Once we secure all animals and assess damage, we will have an idea of when the Park can reopen.”

The State Senate unanimously passed a landmark bill creating grant programs to help New Mexicans fortify their properties to better withstand wildfires. SB33 now goes to the House.
