You may have noticed that I’ve changed my handle to @TheGoodStressDr. Here’s why:
I’m passionate about two things: evidence-based lifestyle medicine and cutting-edge tools (and using both for personalized prevention, wellbeing, and longevity).
After years of blending clinical experience and research, I’ve found that the most effective way of leveraging both is through the groundbreaking science of good stress. It not only helps us prevent damage but also promotes healing, regenerates our cells, improves cellular health, and boosts our resilience.
Good stress comes from many things, some being:
🌿 Phytochemicals in plants that act as natural 'toxins'
💪 Intense exercise that benefits brain health and stress resilience
❄️🔥 Cold/heat therapy to enhance metabolism and activate longevity pathways
⏳ Daily fasting to restore your circadian rhythm
🧠 Emotional and cognitive challenges to build resilience against unhealthy stress
Though my handle may have changed, my mission has not. You can still expect tips, conversation starters, and research supporting health optimization! 💫

To me, “good people” is one of the highest compliments a person can give. It means you do right by people, are kind, & have a mission beyond your self interests.
We’ll miss you, Nate. You’re good people.🥹👊🏽
