@Justice4TN True.
People-pleasing, oversharing, over-giving... it usually comes from confusion.
We're trying to find ourselves and use other people's approval as ID.
Agent Smith replicates through the Matrix. Narcissists replicate through relationships.
Both need hosts. Both need compliance. Both need you to believe the system is reality.
The Exit Code teaches you to see the system. Then you can leave.
My ex used to use the silent treatment as a way of punishment.
He knew how bad my anxiety was and wouldnโt respond to me for days at a time. Now when people donโt answer me, I immediately panic in fear.
Emotionally abusive relationships really mess you up even years later.
Because when someone you loved chose silence as a weapon, it wasnโt just quietโฆ it was emotional torture.
It was the kind of silence that made my chest tighten, my thoughts spiral, and my self-worth shrunk.
I werenโt waiting for a message; I was begging for reassurance, begging to feel seen, begging to feel safe. The bare minimum.
And the worst part?
He knew exactly what he was doing. He knew the silence would break me down, make me question myself, make me chase after him for scraps of emotional security.
That kind of abuse doesnโt just vanish once the relationship ends. It lingers. It follows you into new connections.
This is what I struggle with most, when I think back to that time. I feel absolute shame and disgust for having those emotions for someone who was always beneath me and didn't deserve me.
Healing seems so easy in peopleโs eyes! Not knowing the journey of thousands of wars that you need silently face just to barely heal nd become alive!
Donโt remain connected with people who stay attached to those they claim harmed them. Those toxins will eventually make their way to you. Distance yourself and walk on. Keep those standards high.
Discipline to look inward.
Discipline to own where you left the gate open to wolves.
Discipline to stop confusing empathy with access.
Yes, abuse is unfair.
Yes, wolves are vicious.
But playing victim wonโt heal you. Responsibility will.
Take the medicine.
