@TheHappyWhale_@BababoieYT Killed someone who had the IR goggles and tried them out, they drain so fast! You turn it on it drains battery, so you turn it off to try save battery but then that drains even more battery during the turn on and off period, I think i got like 50 secs of thermal out of a battery
@ShaddyyD@WARDOGS As do you, my point is we shouldn't balance the game around 0.01% of pilots who complain about the changes while the data completely reinforces why they are needed, towards end of S1 the sky's were dominated by little birds, an early cheap heli, changes were made for a reason
This is why im glad the devs of @WARDOGS dont listen to content creators for balance, the same person complaining about little bird nerfs and barely being able to break even was just ingame terrorising the whole lobby in a mini gun bird with 3 deaths and 184 kills
The minigun heli in @WARDOGS is COOKED.
One bullet of .308 FMJ out of a rotary cannon now deals 19 damage to the CHEST of a tier 1 armoured player. I need 7-8 bullets to kill a single soldier regularly, which isn't easy to do, especially if you don't want to be forced on mouseyaw/rifleaim as a control scheme.
I literally LOSE 1v1s against infantry that just shoot back WHILE im on target now.
We deal the same amount of damage - he just doesn't have to fly, control and navigate an ENTIRE HELICOPTER, just raises his rifle.
This isn't a 25% damage nerf, it's more like 25% of the damage REMAINED after you took the rest away. (shoutout @SilkOCE for coming up with that analogy)
You also take twice as much damage from all sources (UNANNOUNCED SHADOW PATCH) - a group of 2-3 people that simply spray back can kill you just by hitting 1 mag each, this is with AK/starter weapon FMJ.
Heli costs twice as much to buy, a nerf targeting the already broken economy: my entire community consisting of pilot mains was telling me they never profited from helicopters already. I barely broke even in season 1.
CIWS has been BUFFED like crazy: It now looks almost directly up, removing the entire skill of being able to stay in the cone above it (while you are INCREDIBLY exposed to other threats btw, so this was never overpowered) and you also need twice as many bullets to kill the operator as outlined before.
So: maneuvering yourself for a kill shot is more dangerous, you take more damage in the leadup (and on the comedown), you have to hit more bullets, and the safety margin is smaller. You just lose.
Even the newly introduced metal sheet roofs are EVERYWHERE all of a sudden and almost fully exclude helicopters from helping on a FOB.
And it doesn't end there: It seems the entire helicopter can get fully killed by as little as 15 BULLETS from the new M2 browning, which is small and can hide everywhere.
Visibility has been decreased for literally no reason by applying a film of dirt to the windshield. I would literally pay 5k per life just to buy a rag that can wipe it away. This is especially horrible in the rain, where rain+dirt just completely take your clarity of vision away. You CANNOT SEE in the rain.
Overall, we are facing 5-6 changes that solely nerf the minigun helicopter, a helicopter that BARELY generated profit for the top 1% of pilots before this patch, and I suspect it's just because we can't figure out how to balance the havoc and the rocket heli - both of which just need to be vaulted until we have an actual vision for their place in the game.
But taking away the ability to be effective in any capacity in the minigun helicopters (you will see this play out in the coming weeks, trust me) is not the play - it's the only heli that requires skill and is fun to improve at.
And before you think I'm crying and blowing things out of proportion - I went 184-3 today in my first full game with the miniguns. I can just see issues before they play out, and I want this helicopter to be playable by others, not just the best 10 pilots.
Keep in mind: The new HARDCOUNTER to helicopters, the Gepard, IS NOT EVEN PART OF THIS EQUATION YET. And it will completely shut down air entirely once that's out there, especially miniguns.
I don't look forward to the next few weeks if this doesn't get a buff and might just ditch it entirely, which is sad. It's the funnest thing in the game for me.
@HiebDE@WARDOGS I did read it, your complaining about what the nerfs may potentially do while still pulling out 184 kills, these changes are great because average heli pilots are pulling out 60+ kill games teorrising fobs, your data/performance in game reinforces why the changes are needed
@HiebDE@WARDOGS There is nooooo waaaaay you are complaining about the minibird heli when you were just in the same game as me terrorising the lobby with 184 kills, I think you are exaggerating about breaking even with the 3 deaths and $386k earned
@VVtheGaul@WARDOGS@KatieRouu@Brammflakes What spectacle? The facts are clear, Why do you think its an individual mechanic? All the mechanics are intended individually but when you find a flaw and socially engineer a group to take advantage to exploit it for benefit and then advertise it, yeah they deserve a ban
@VVtheGaul@WARDOGS@KatieRouu@Brammflakes Not even the slightest comparable to crouching in a humvee ๐, then they admitted they knew what they were doing , clearly not an intended mechanic, devs said if an exploit is found and creators advertised it they will come down harshly on them, shkuld be a perm ban not 7 day
@VVtheGaul@WARDOGS@KatieRouu@Brammflakes Be so for real, did you watch the vod? They spammed bunkers, let the enemy catch the fob, as a team slowly trip fed weapon supplies and destroyed their own buildings while calling the stream "Ak farming, we print billions" while team members say "were gonna get banned for this"
@tametoken@TheTotless Devs confirmed they have fixed and removed it, but devs also made it super clear before if you find an exploit they will be extremely harsh on anyone who advertises or tutorials how to do it, this creator contributes to the economy damag, bars bought with exploited cash
@Brammflakes@TheFaithSheriff What is the vision behind pistol suppressor being level 48 medic? Thats a crazy grind just to make your pistol silent, by that point its all T4 chads rocking around
@Tripleg@WARDOGS Sadly griefers are C4ing friendly crates in soawn, lost $50k worth of gear yesterday because the crates can be destroyed and you dont get that money back
@SteelGiant92@Frenchy_170@MoonlitUK@GHBSmith People and vehicles can not be killed or destroyed in the safe zone yet crates are behaving differently and are destructable by friendlys and enemies, clearly that doesnt sound intended otherwise they would just let you spawn kill vehicles with the arty tank, but go ahead i guess
@SteelGiant92@Frenchy_170@MoonlitUK@GHBSmith In a safe zone, something clearly not intended, by someone you mean a teammate griefing.
Not the wager system of placing bets and setting challenges with monetary rewards that the devs spoke of, no irony here
@GHBSmith But selling gear is very much an intended mechanic of the game, and the OP gear the devs have recognised are going to be those hot cake items people want, only a small selection of players will be able to sell gear and thats okay too, everyone puts in different amounts of time
@GHBSmith I think if it was easy everyone would do it, theres a small, very noticeable amount of players that have put in thr grind to get recin 35+ and now they sre hoping to reap a little reward for it, IR and 50 cal are in demand for sure because nobody wants to grind for it, its boring
@GHBSmith But it comes with risks and the biggest risk right now is someone destroying your crates in the safe zone and you losing 50k+ , its rouuugh, it puts players who cant grind on an even playing field with sweats, and they pay a premium for it, not everyone can afford to buy the gear
@GHBSmith Well they will have already put in the time to grind the desirable items that people want to purchase, and it comes with risk, people might not buy the gear at all, most people dont sit in spawn all game they drop the crates and go make more money in the zone, its passive income
