The events unfolding across Nigeria in recent days are deeply distressing and demand collective attention.

Reports confirm that a church in Kwara State was attacked in the middle of a livestream. Worshippers were shot, several individuals including a pastor and women were abducted, and no security response arrived during the incident.

This follows the kidnapping of 25 schoolgirls only a day prior, and the reported execution of their principal.

These are not isolated occurrences. They reflect a pattern of targeted violence against Christian communities across the country.

Over 7,000 Christian lives have been lost within the past year alone, yet these attacks continue to be minimized or attributed to vague explanations that do not reflect the severity of what is happening.

As a nation, we cannot normalize this level of brutality.

As a people, we cannot overlook the reality: Nigeria is facing a systematic campaign of violence against its Christian population.

We call for:
→ Immediate and transparent action from security agencies
→ Accurate national acknowledgment of the crisis
→ Protection for vulnerable communities
→ Accountability for those responsible

We stand with every family, every community, and every individual affected by these ongoing tragedies.

Nigeria must do better. Lives must matter. Humanity must prevail.
