And the CLIMATE SUPERFUND BILL PASSED out of the Senate Environment Committee! This is the beginning of something big for NJ in our fight against the climate crisis!
Senator Smith just read through a huge stack of slips from the public, the vast majority in support of the bill from a diverse variety of organizations and individuals across NJ. 😮
Tracey of the Montclair Interfaith Climate Justice Alliance just gave powerful testimony in support of the bill. Her group recently delivered over 400 postcards to Senator McKeon in support of the Climate Superfund Act and bold, brave climate legislation.
Climate activists are in Trenton this morning because the NJ CLIMATE SUPERFUND ACT is going to be heard in the Senate Environment Committee this morning. This groundbreaking legislation would MAKE POLLUTERS PAY for the cost of climate damage.

Gen-Z is taking an active role in transforming the world they're inheriting.
And they're calling on lawmakers to tax the ultra-wealthy and well-connected to help fund climate solutions so all New Jerseyans can look to a brighter — and greener — future.

We are in Trenton today to say NO to false climate solutions like carbon capture and so-called “renewable” natural gas and to call on our legislature to pass bold climate laws for a clean energy future. Hurricane Helene is a tragic reminder that there is no time to waste!
Join us in Trenton on September 30th (two weeks from today!) for our next big opportunity to move New Jersey legislators to pass clean energy legislation & reject false solutions!
RSVP here: https://t.co/amGTJSACQ0
Then you can turn those plans into action on Thursday, September 19 @ 9AM as we rally at the State House in Trenton for a squeaky clean energy future!

We've seen a ton of new climate & energy bills introduced this year – both good and bad – and it looks like the NJ legislature is planning to act on some of them this Fall. We're gearing up to stop false solutions & fight for effective climate & energy solutions!
Join us on Thursday, September 12 @ 7PM for a critical discussion on the major climate & energy policies currently being considered by our legislators, and how we are organizing this fall to win a just transition off fossil fuels.

But inexplicably Governor Murphy fully permitted this pipeline project, and they continue permitting others. Call Governor Murphy at 866-586-4069 and urge him to stop all new fossil fuel projects in NJ.
Fossil fuel projects we’ve been fighting for years could have been halted if Governor Murphy uses his authority to stop all new fossil fuel expansion projects.
Call him today!!
In a historic decision, the DC Circuit Court agreed with us that the enormous increase in dirty gas supply from the Williams Transco REAE pipeline expansion through NJ is simply not needed, failed to adequately assess climate impacts and undermines New Jersey’s climate policies.
RSVP to stand up against this decision and join the PVSC board meeting on Thursday, July 25 at 12 p.m. on Zoom. The board could give the fracked gas power plant a rubber stamp of approval and we need to join the meeting to tell them to VOTE NO. RSVP here: https://t.co/R0LcFSws62
Last week, @GovMurphy's administration approved the inadequate, unjust, and deceptive environmental justice review for the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission (PVSC) gas plant proposed in Newark at the agency’s massive wastewater treatment facility! We need you to take action!
On Thurs the Murphy administration made the appalling decision to issue a critical permit for a NEW GAS PLANT in Newark’s Ironbound. This would be the 4th gas plant in a city suffering from some of the worst air pollution in the country from decades of environmental injustice!
The Murphy admin's exclusion of leading members of NJ's largest climate coalition from the Energy Master Plan stakeholder meetings is unacceptable. Check out our message for @GovMurphy on what real climate commitment look like. 🌎🔥

If the Murphy admin isn't talking with us, who are they talking to?
