I had a real breakthrough yesterday, and it made me better able to handle being fully present with my mother. That's a start. it means that when I meet you, husband, I'll be able to be fully present. No lies. No performing. Real companionship. Thank God.
I was an atheist from ages 14-30. 16 years where I could have had even more support from God. The resistance was so strong because I didn't even know what my deepest prayer was. I prayed to God for money 4 years ago. He showed me that what I've really needed is love.
I had to move back into my mother's house, and I realize it was God guiding me toward forgiveness of her and realizing I'm far from perfect myself.
Then he showed me that although partnership is important, real love starts within. I'm working on loving myself.
God has instructed me to read the bible. I'll focus on that for now until I have the capacity to add more to my schedule. I'm learning to make self-care a priority. Still waiting for God to send me my husband, but patiently this time instead of trying to rush the process.
I'm not good at math. I'm not a good programmer, I'm out of practice. I only speak English. I'm at Leviticus in my first real read of the Bible outside of what I learned in school.
@pinkamaniaa I think I have a hole where anger should be but there is despair. Anger needs a target, but despair doesn't. Anger is healthier than despair because you can work through it. Despair tells you "Don't even try to name me or deal with me, just rot." Despair is death.
