There is no trace of human rights in Turkey. Many people, including mothers and women, whose crimes have not been proven, are being taken on 7/8 hour journeys, handcuffed, hungry and thirsty, in 1 square meter cages, made to lie on the floor, and kept in filthy cells.

I am re-tweeting captive Ekrem Imamoglu’s -current Mayor of İstanbul- tweet:

My dear nation, this is a torture announcement.

Prisoners who have committed no crime other than working with me and serving Istanbul, and who have not the slightest evidence against them, are being systematically tortured and mistreated.

This cruelty is especially being done to women. They are being sent to prisons far from their families, they are being taken on 7/8 hour journeys, handcuffed, hungry and thirsty, in 1 square meter cages, made to lie on the floor, and kept in filthy cells.

We know very well why these tortures are being carried out. Those who planned this plot have no evidence, they want to make everyone a "slanderer" through pressure, blackmail, threats and torture. They think that this is how they can get out of the pit they have fallen into.

Let our entire nation know, hear and share this cruelty. The curse of these women, these mothers, these children is on the shoulders of those who committed this evil, those who were complicit, and all those who did not speak up.
