Mayor Mamdani tells graduates at Rikers Island “there will always be a place for you in NYC.”
“If today is proof of anything, it is that you have the power to move your life forward, even when everything feels like it is pulling you backwards.”
FYI:
Mayor Mamdani announced a lottery for 600 tickets for the Knicks Championship Ceremony at City Hall on Thursday.
The lottery is OPEN right now and will close TOMORROW (6/17) at 11 AM. How quickly you enter the lottery does not matter, as winners are selected at random.
300 winners will be notified after the lottery closes, and each winner will receive a +1.

Note that winners will only be able to attend the ceremony, not the parade, due to logistical constraints.
