An assortment of photos from climbing Tempi Moderni (28 pitch 5.11+ -ish) on the Marmolada the other day - we did the hike in at sunrise and then climbed the route. Saw tons of wildlife, an amazing Rifugio playground (!!), and all kinds of interesting sights. I had a really hard time following the route since you can pretty much climb anywhere on the big face - we wound up climbing the upper third of a route to the left just because we got lost. But at least we topped out in time for the gondola ride down… so amazing to save the 6k ft of descent… my knees said thanks. Nice day out with Josh!

Huge thank you to everyone who’s been supporting me and my team throughout the whole year, you guys are the real goats💙
Love you all and I’ll see you in Stockholm! 🇸🇪 🥰
Remembering Nirmal "Nimsdai" Purja MBE. Husband. Father. Brother. World-renowned groundbreaking mountaineer. Entrepreneur. Leader. Gurkha. Special Forces Veteran.
These titles describe who Nimsdai is, but they don't capture what he represents.
Nimsdai built a legacy by challenging limits and breaking boundaries. He redefined what was possible and showed the world what can be achieved when belief, courage, and relentless determination come together.
Nimsdai dedicated his life to expanding the boundaries of human potential while using his achievements to create opportunities for others. He used his voice to champion others, especially Nepal's climbing community. Through the work of the Nimsdai Foundation, he transformed the lives of mountain communities, championed education and opportunity, and inspired people across the world to pursue lives of purpose, resilience and service. His vision, leadership and determination built Elite Exped, Nimsdai Foundation, Skydive Nimsdai and Nimsdai Store into what they are today. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he changed and the people he inspired to climb their own mountains.
Nimsdai was climbing Broad Peak as part of his own expedition to become the first person in history to climb all 14 eight-thousanders twice without supplementary oxygen. Nimsdai was accompanied by his trusted climbing partners and guides, Pur Bahadur Gurung (Yukta) and Nima Sherpa. With only Cho Oyu remaining to complete all 14 of the world’s 8,000-metre peaks for a third time as part of his Hat-Trick Project in support of the Nimsdai Foundation.
Yet, true to the philosophy that defined his life, this climb was never simply about records. It was about pushing the limits of what was possible and inspiring others to believe that their own mountains could also be climbed.
On 28 July, Nimsdai dedicated the climb with these words:
"To everyone who carried me here. Supporters. Critics. All of you. Without both sides, there is no fire. So thank you genuinely. My purpose has never been about me. It's about what I represent. It's about showing YOU that your mountains - whatever they are - are climbable."
Those pioneering final words perfectly capture who Nimsdai is. His greatest achievement has never simply been the summits he's stood on, but the belief he's instilled in millions of people around the world: that impossible is often just a starting point.
So Nimsdai, we salute you for reminding us all that every mountain is climbable. You never left anyone behind, even when it meant putting yourself in harm's way. Your courage, selflessness, and unwavering spirit will continue to inspire us, and your legacy will live on in every person you inspired. We will honour your vision by continuing the work you started; your mission lives on through all of us.
If you could see what we see today, you would know that you achieved your mission. Nimsdai, you truly showed the world that "giving up is not in the blood," and for that, we thank you for ever and always.
Rest well Nimsdai. Your spirit will continue to inspire generations to come.
