@MinModulation I think a major component for Toby is that he is both the main creator/director and the composer at the same time. He knows the full context for where all the music will play and the exact emotional beats it needs to hit and he's the one executing it the vast majority of the time

@AntifaCostanza I was expecting a lot more weird shit out of it since it's the director of It Follows and Under the Silver Lake, both of which I loved, but it was very standard but weirdly written, it almost felt ironic or like that was a deliberate choice but not fully.

@Grandis_Granva He's a way more niche mangaka, especially in the US, but I have known people that are pretty into his stuff. His style sometimes reminds me of Kouta Hirano's art, especially the newer things he's created.

@redrummarts This part where Guts fake kidnaps Jill to get away from the villagers and Guts/Jill notice her dad chickening out on trying to save her is one of my favorite little moments in the manga, the quick little look of pity Guts has and Jill being sad but not surprised is so well done
