True failure is not falling short of our goals. It's failing to pursue our most meaningful goals. It’s health .

In the moment, it feels risky to take a chance. Zero increase for philhealth when the expenses for heart disease , cancers , strokes and diabetes with dialysis amount to 756 billion a year. In hindsight, our biggest mistakes are the chances we didn't take.

Inaction is a recipe for regret. Action is fuel for growth. We are doomed in our healthcare system.

Grabe! They restored AKAP ( ayuda) and totally defunded philhealth, as in zero budget!

It's very obvious that they are interested in the PhilHealth funds.

In retrospect, I think this all started when they found out in a hearing that PhilHealth had unused funds dues to inefficiency then they diverted 90 billion to unprogrammed appropriations

The legislators show their utter ignorance. For one thing, defunding PhilHealth is destroying universal health care. For another thing, contrary to their perception that PhilHealth has excess funds, PhilHealth currently faces huge insurance contract liabilities which far exceed current reserves. This spells financial disaster, which can lead to a fiscal crisis and even a political crisis.

It means there will be no funding for indirect contributors ( senior citizens, indigents and PWDs ) and the direct contributors will carry the brunt of funding philhealth.

Their priority is reducing health to patronage rather than allowing people to avail of healthcare with dignity as is our right.
