We are building Embodied Agents: a 3D virtual puppet using web tools and our #GLTF avatar pipeline.

Our #avatars offer a more immersive, engaging, and emotionally intelligent experience compared to a normal text- or voice-based agent. 

Our embodied agents are more communicative. With full body poses, animated mannerisms, and subtle facial expressions, embodied agents can enhance engagement and foster a more impactful experience with users. 

Embodied Agents can help in hospitality, retail, education and more.

We built a back-end private AI server built on Debian Linux, python, and node.js running on #OpenSource models like 
#Qwen3, #Llama4, #GPTOSS, and #Deepseek

On personal #privateAI server we are doing #STT and #TTS using VibeVoice, Wisper, and Piper
We built a front end on React, Tailwind, some custom avatar puppetry magic; one system for the face, another for the body.
VRM Avatars - that have a standard skeletons based on GLTF 3D file standards
Rendering with a mix of open source WebGL and WebGPU to render 3D.

WebSpatial is a new framework that enabled us to get in on the ground floor of the spatial web. 

With the #WebSpatial tools, we were able to easily unify and extend our existing web code for #VisionOS, #AndroidXR, and Meta #HorizionOS. The next generation of spatial computing devices is right around the corner in 2026.

While in #Bali I learned the story of #decentralization via ancient networks.

Irrigation on this Indonesian island is actually organized by networks of ancient “water temples” that constitute an institutional system separate from the state. Bali's government tried traditional farming in the 80s and 90s for most crops to only have lower yields and blights, considered a great failure. Irrigation like this simply provides water for the plant's roots and the pesticides and herbicides are no match for the tropical jungles.

But in an ancient Balinese rice terrace, water is used to construct a complex, pulsed artificial ecosystem. Control the spread of pests, move fertilization and more. Now they mix ancient tradition and modern agro techniques to a hybrid approach.

Water temples manipulate the states of the system, at ascending levels in regional hierarchies. The permanence of water temple networks contrasts sharply with the instability of the traditional Balinese states. Since the decentralized water temples are real, perhaps it is the Balinese “state” that is chimerical.

Was great participating at #SCaLE 22x, the impact of #AI and smart infrastructure was discussed and demonstrated. In just a few weeks, teams built what would normally take months or years of discussions, workshops, roadmaps, user groups, and complex procurements. With the guidance of mentors and industry leaders, hackers turned ideas into working solutions, proving that open-source, decentralized AI can solve real-world problems much faster and more effectively than with traditional systems and procurement methods.
