“It’s not about accuracy”, is not a biblical idea.
Let me show you.
But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak… that prophet shall die.
And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?’
When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid
- Deut. 18:20-22
The scriptures says a prophet who speaks for the lord, WILL BE ACCURATE.
In trying to “safeguard” the prophetic stream, LET US NOT SAY NONSENSE.
However, ACCURACY IS NOT ALL. It is AN IMPORTANT PART, but it is not all.
The prophet must point to Jesus.
He must not lead the people to other gods.
But he must also be accurate.
Simple.
