Facilitating a space for young Israelis & Palestinians to work towards peace and justice by challenging the status quo & exploring non violent alternatives.
With support from Encompass Trust, a small group of young people from Palestine and Israel are attending Project Common Bond, a peacebuilding program for youth affected by conflict. These quotes reflect their hopes for healing, dialogue & connection.
Civilians are paying the price — again.
From the devastation in Gaza to missile strikes in Israel, civilians are bearing the consequences of escalating violence.
Encompass continues to work towards lasting peace and dignity — for everyone.
We’re honoured to welcome Daniel Moses to the Encompass Trust board of trustees.
With decades of experience working across lines of conflict—from Armenia to Jerusalem—Daniel brings deep wisdom, courage, and compassion to our mission.
Lasting peace is built on the protection of human rights - not forced resettlement of communities. We remain committed to a future where dignity, human rights and international law are upheld for all - because lasting peace is rooting in justice.
As we welcome the first steps towards peace, we are reminded that building lasting peace requires more than ceasefires. It requires voices willing to bridge divides and create pathways for a shared future.
We use Deep Democracy in our Journey of Understanding programs to bring divided communities together.
Right now, fostering understanding and empathy between individuals from opposing backgrounds is vital for building the framework for one day building a future of lasting peace.
Peacebuilding is a complex, long-term process. While it faces significant challenges, there are examples where it has led to meaningful change and lasting peace. We cannot lose sight of the fact that peace through dialogue and reconciliation *is* possible in the Middle East.

5. Deep Democracy is not a quick fix. It’s a commitment to listening deeply, embracing discomfort, and working towards collective wisdom. It’s a process of hope in the face of division.
Right now, dialogue is more crucial than ever. "Deep Democracy" offers a path to understanding by ensuring every voice is heard, especially those often marginalised. Let’s explore what Deep Democracy is and why it matters now. 🧵
4. A real-world example:
In our Journey of Understanding program, participants from deeply divided backgrounds—Israelis, Palestinians, and Palestinian citizens of Israel—used Deep Democracy to confront and understand their differences. It wasn’t easy, but it was transformative.
