At today's @idccdi_ General Assembly, representing @PM_ViktorOrban , I spoke about the constitutional coup unfolding in Hungary and how the Hungarian government is dismantling democracy and the rule of law.

For years, Hungary's patriotic government was attacked over even the most baseless allegations. Now, as democracy and the rule of law are being dismantled in Hungary, the EU institutions, NGOs and the liberal media remain silent. This is yet another example of Brussels' double standards.

I made it clear: this is unacceptable. Democracy and the rule of law must be defended consistently— not selectively or used as political weapons only against patriotic, sovereignist governments. We will continue to raise the alarm at every international forum about the Tisza government's attacks on democracy and the rule of law.
