❌ Replacing one Prime Minister with another may change the occupant of Downing Street, but it won't lower bills, unlock Scotland's energy potential or tackle the long-term challenges holding our country back.
🏴 Scotland deserves more than another change of face.
🗳️ It deserves the power to choose its own future.
While student loans and rising student debt are dominating the conversation at Westminster, it’s worth remembering that the SNP Government scrapped tuition fees in 2008.
We did so because we don’t believe anyone no matter their background should face financial barriers to accessing higher education.
No one should be punished for choosing to go to university, and education should be based on ability to learn — not ability to pay.
Different MP, same Westminster attitude. Andy Burnham is already treating Scotland as a second-class democracy. We need a fresh start with independence.
If the power is held and decisions are being made from No 10 North – effectively side stepping Holyrood – what is there left for Scottish Labour to do other than sit back and watch? asks @James_L_Walker ✍️
“Under Westminster’s watch, the average adult in this country now owns nearly a quarter less than they did just five years ago.
The message from these figures is unarguable. The Westminster economic model is finished. Whether it’s a Tory or Labour government holding the keys to Downing Street, the same broken system remains.”

Andy Burnham has written to Scots offering "greater public control" of water.
Water is already nationalised in Scotland.
Scotland deserves better than copy-and-paste PMs.

"Rather than supporting Scotland's booming renewables sector or honoring promises to fund vital carbon-capture carbon capture infrastructure, Westminster remains locked into an obsession with nuclear energy."

📣 Yesterday, I gave my Maiden Speech in Parliament.
This first clip is about staying true to who you are, having the confidence to do things your own way, and never letting others define your voice.
🎥 Part 1 of 3.
"If Andy Burnham and the Labour leadership truly believed that people should have control over their own lives, they would stop trying to block Scotland's democratic right to choose its own future."

I promised we’d end the 8am rush for GP appointments, and we’re getting on with the job.
Glasgow’s first GP walk-in service is now open, in Cardonald. It’s the 9th walk-in centre in Scotland, with more opening soon.
The SNP is on your side and we’re delivering for Scotland. 🏴
🗣️ In 2014, Scotland was told it'd be an 'equal partner' within the union.
🤷🏼 Well, that hasn't quite worked out.
🔟 Here's our Top Ten Better Together Claims, debunked.
👇🏼 We suspect Westminster politicians would rather not be reminded - but make sure everyone sees this.
BREAKING: The SNP will introduce a bill in Westminster to devolve independence referendum powers to Holyrood.
🗣️ 'It's time we take the power out of the hands of Westminster politicians and put it into the hands of a Scottish Parliament.'
Today Keir Starmer has announced his intention to step down as British Prime Minister.
His departure underscores the chaos of Westminster and how our future is better served by breaking our links with Britain.
Successive British governments have cut our public services and weakened our economy, leaving ordinary people struggling to make ends meet while a small elite grows ever wealthier.
I stand ready to work constructively with the incoming British Prime Minister, but I will be clear that a hugely different approach is needed.
People here are not second-class citizens.
They deserve proper and fair investment in our public services, real support through the cost of living crisis, and respect for our democratic right to decide our own future.
BREAKING: First Minister of Scotland John Swinney has said Keir Starmer 'made the right decision' as he reacts to the Prime Minister's resignation, insisting 'a fresh start is possible, but only with independence'
🗣️ 'Scotland deserves better'
Today, I was officially sworn in at Parliament.
I took this Oath in order to serve the people of Arbroath and Broughty Ferry - and declared that my loyalty will always be to the people of Scotland.
