Using something as subjective as attractiveness & insinuating that a person’s weight, body fat percentage, muscle mass, physical fitness level etc affects it is not only false marketing, it’s also incredibly stigmatising.

Despite the serious health ramifications, #WeightStigma is technically legal in most places. Protective legislation may not eradicate #discrimination but it sends a strong message that it is unacceptable.
It would be a great step forward.

What we take from this article is not disappointment, but hope.
Yes, the study shows that implicit #weightbias has increased BUT it also demonstrated that it's possible for implicit biases to decrease.

In most places if someone is discriminated against because of their #weight at work there is no legislation in place to hold the perpetrator accountable.
A #stigma free work place is a basic civil right.
This is 2019. This needs to change.
