In Q1 2026, 83% of Ireland's alumina exports went to Russia (200,619 tonnes, the largest since the full-scale invasion began) while just 0.6% went to the EU.
That alumina goes to Russian smelters, where it becomes aluminum sold to weapons manufacturers....
