In the last two years, 2 major cases were withdrawn by Karnataka Govt under CM Siddaramaiah.

1) In 2022, a mob led by AIMIM leader Mohammed Arif attacked Hubbali Police Station over a social media post.

Mob pelted stones & damaged vehicles, a nearby hospital, and Hanuman temple. 12 policemen were injured.

46 rioters were arrested. This case was withdrawn by the Karnataka govt in 2024.

2) In 2022, the major communal clashes and riots occurred at the Ladle Mashak Dargah in Kalaburagi district, in which several policemen were also injured.

This case has now been withdrawn by the Karnataka govt.
