The downside is that if I change the order of the random calls, thousands of rooms quietly rearrange themselves.

Every room is generated from a random number generator seeded with the article title, so the Cheese room looks the same for everyone. It's very useful when something goes wrong, as I can go back and get the same layout.

@signulll getting lost is underrated. I made a version of Wikipedia you literally walk through, every link is a door, and the whole point is having no idea where you'll end up.
