If I had a dollar for everytime someone told me they were "Jealous" when I was working from bed (due to excruciating pain), I might have enough money to take a week off! #invisibleillness#chronicpain#bekind
People assume that it's so easy when chronically ill and/or disabled people aren't working.
They'll say stuff like "oh I wish I didn't work! Must be nice!"
And it's like okay, then stop working.
Of course they'll say "but I need money to survive"
Guess what buddy? So do we!
The opportunity to educate family doctors about #endometriosis is a chance to inform what is often the first line of care patients access - with potentially life-changing outcomes for those living with the disease. (1/2)

It means having to choose sometimes between rest or fun, struggling through stabbing pains at work, and constantly worrying you'll wake up unable to get out of bed at least a few days a month even with pain meds on board. #itsnotjustabadperiod
It makes me sad that I can't remember a time waking up where I wasn't in some level of pain...ovulation has its own set of painful symptoms just like PMDD & period week. Getting 3 or 4 'good' days per month is so unsatisfactory...#endoprobs#endometriosis#endowarrior
How did we get to the point in gynecology where it is culture (i.e. standard of care) to leave patients uncertain about the cause of serious & chronic conditions like unexplained infertility & chronic pelvic pain?
Let's end the era of "We're not sure, but let's try this".
Wondering how many times one needs to be referred to the new IWK pelvic pain clinic for endometriosis before they are given a spot. I feel like my doctor has sent at least three referrals and I've mentioned it to the specialist twice as well. Seems like a really amazing clinic...
If anybody needs me, I'll be figuring out a way to have "Cider House Rules" "Dirty Dancing" and "Grandma" stream continuously on all screens belonging to members of the @USSupremeCourt and @SenateGOP until they realize they are 1000% wrong. #RoeOverturned#unbelievable
