MMG has approved a $900 million expansion of Botswana’s Khoemacau Copper Mine, including new deposits and a 4.5 Mt/year processing plant, aiming for first production in H1 2028. Europa Oil & Gas has signed a binding farm-out agreement with Fuhai (Beijing) Energy for the EG-08 offshore block in Equatorial Guinea. Fuhai will acquire a 40% interest and fund 95% of the Barracuda exploration well, while Antler Global retains operatorship. The European Investment Bank (EIB) is providing €39 million to expand Cabo Verde’s Cabeólica Wind Energy project, raising its contribution to national electricity from 20% to 30%. The expansion adds 13.5 MW of wind power on Santiago and 26 MWh of battery storage across four islands, supported by the African Development Bank, the government, and local partners.

Perenco’s subsidiary PetroChad Mangara (PCM) has completed a 12-well drilling campaign at the Badila oilfield in southern Chad, including eight horizontal wells, three water-disposal wells and one appraisal well. PCM also installed gas turbines to boost power generation and upgraded processing facilities.
