I like over 80% of all posts/pictures I come acros on social media. It ain’t deep. Doesn’t mean I agree with them or genuinely like the posts. Sometimes, my liking means “I’ve seen this shit and I don’t want to go through it again.“ 😕
Policy is meant to remove ambiguity.
If people need to use common sense when applying a policy, the policy has failed and must be discarded or modified.
I have read different reactions to the issue.
The most interesting one is when people say even if the company culture is to call people by their first name, you still have to apply 'wisdom'.
So what exactly is the culture HR is promoting? Some people are above the so called culture?
Sounds to me like a culture of hypocrisy.
The type of companies that will be listed as a good place to work and from the outside everything looks fine until you meet the toxicity inside.
@YoungLobzy Atedo was called Atedo. Yinka Sanni was called Yinka, Wole was called Wole, Shola David- Borha was called Shola. Tsim is called Tsim.
People wey even old pass TOE. Scrap the policy if you can’t uphold it. Simple.
If it is company policy to refer to people by their first name, why is the chairman above this policy?
I understand the cultural sentiments, but she’s doing exactly what HR promotes.
If he does not subscribe to it, then it should not be a company policy.
Hello Tony @TonyOElumelu
If you don't want to be called ‘Tony’, change your Company Culture and Policy, and re-train your Staffs so that they will no longer address themselves by their First Names only.
Thank You, Tony.
Nigerians reinforcing our chains. If people have to read the room before following company policy inside the company, then the policy is pointless and should be abolished.
HOW IS THIS NOT OBVIOUS????
This attitude translates to the work life In that bank, Where you have to leak a**ses and work like you are a civil servant working in an LGA.
I worked in a blue bank and it’s first name basis, I call the CEOs by their first names “Yinka” , “Wole” , “Shola”
That’s the professional and international standard. Let us be civil please

Dear Nigerians None of these female artists said they make music for the girls why are you guys not streaming them????
Hi @Canva. I've noticed this so many times. You need to be more responsible with your photos. When you search for "child" on Canva, see what comes out. When you search for "African child", look at the images that come out. This is not responsible storytelling. Do better.
