@ValNgugi Having saved 1 hour using the the expressway, why should I fight to save 2min while exiting?
Let's just say, some of us prefer keeping the coin to the last minute. Until we can't keep it any longer.
Back in 2021, I met a lady who told me about this app where blind people could video call volunteers whenever they needed help with something.
Out of curiosity, I downloaded it and signed up.
I still remember how surreal it felt the first time I got a call. Someone was simply trying to decide what to wear and needed me to tell them if the colors matched. Another person needed help checking something on their TV screen.
And there I was, in my room in Nigeria, helping complete strangers from different parts of the world through a random video call.
It wasn’t paid or anything. It was just volunteering.
But I remember being so fascinated by the idea that technology could connect people in such a deeply human way. For a few minutes, you literally became someone else’s eyes.
Till today, that remains one of the most beautiful things I’ve experienced online.
I missed my flight in Nairobi once because of traffic on Mombasa Road.
Like fully missed it. I got to the airport sweaty, exhausted, dragging my suitcase like it personally betrayed me.
I already knew there was no chance, but I still ran to the counter hoping for mercy.
The woman checked her screen, looked at me, then said, “You were the last passenger.”
I laughed a little because what else do you do at that point?
Then she lowered her voice and said, “The plane is still on the ground.”
Next thing I know this airport employee is SPEED WALKING me through the terminal like we’re in an action movie.
Security waved me through, another worker grabbed my carry-on to help me run, and I’m apologizing to literally everyone while fighting for my life.
I got to the gate completely out of breath.
The guy scanning boarding passes looked at me and said, “Eh, Nairobi traffic. We understand.”
People on the plane actually clapped when I walked in looking half dead.
I have never respected airport workers more in my life. Big up to them.
I went to my son’s 5th grade graduation yesterday. I was sitting behind a boy named Leo. I know Leo; he’s a quiet kid, always wears the same hoodie. When the other kids' names were called, families screamed, blew air horns, and held up signs. When "Leo Miller" was called, the room went quiet. He walked across the stage, took his diploma, and looked at the audience. He was looking for someone. Anyone. Nobody waved. He looked down at his feet, his little shoulders slumping. My heart broke. I looked at my husband, and he knew exactly what I was thinking. We both jumped up. "YEAH LEO! WAY TO GO!" my husband bellowed. I started clapping and whistling like a maniac. "THAT’S RIGHT! YOU DID IT!" A few parents around us looked confused, then they saw Leo’s face. He looked up, shocked, and then broke into the biggest, goofiest grin I’ve ever seen. The applause caught on. By the time he left the stage, half the gym was cheering for the boy with no family in the stands. After the ceremony, he came up to us timidly. "Are you friends with my dad?" he asked. "He couldn't get off work." My husband got down on one knee. "We're just fans of good work, Leo. And you did good work." We took him for ice cream with our son. Show up for people. Even the ones who aren't yours. Especially the ones who aren't yours.

Why can I get this machine?
Are You Ready to Move with the New World of Technology?
The construction industry is gradually but decisively transitioning from manual setting out to digital precision layout.
The evolution is clear:
• From builder’s square
• To laser level machines
• To Robotic Total Stations & Advanced Laser Layout Tools for professional construction layout
What These Technologies Are
Robotic Total Stations and advanced laser layout tools are high-precision, laser-guided instruments designed to transfer digital drawings (CAD/BIM) directly onto construction sites with millimetre accuracy.
They eliminate:
• Tape measures
• String lines
• Guesswork
• Manual interpretation errors
What you get instead is speed, accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
This is powerful technology:
AI + digital design + precision equipment.
A Word of Caution
Do not allow technology to sweep you off your feet.
Move with the speed of technology don’t resist it.
Professional relevance today is no longer optional; it is intentional.
These tools are no longer luxury items; they are minimum requirements for the modern professional
Be a high-tech professional.
The future of construction is far ahead, and it is moving fast.
Be relevant.
Be visible.
Be prepared.
