We held a very productive meeting with @EngJosephKamau, MD of the Athi Water Works Development Agency, and his team of engineers at the @AthiWaterWorks headquarters yesterday. They briefed us on the plans to improve the water supply in Kamukunji constituency.

The agency will replace decades‑old asbestos‑cement water mains with new, larger and more durable HDP pipes in Eastleigh. THe project which will install 15 km of pipes in Eastleigh North and Airbase is scheduled to commence in January 2026. When completed, it will substantially improve the hydraulic efficiency and the quality of water in the two neighbourhoods.

Today, I had strategic engagements with @MPyusufhassan on improving water supply for Kamukunji Constituency at @AthiWaterWorks head office.

The discussions aimed to fast-track the implementation of key projects to improve water supply for the area.

Today I joined the PS @JKorir_K and Water Secretary @EngSaoalima for the official flagging off of the water, sanitation and hygiene roadshow campaign targeting informal settlements aimed at improving awareness about clean water practices, proper hygiene and handwashing.

Today I joined water sector agencies at Maji House for the signing of Program Implementation Agreements under #NUWSSP led by the PS @JKorir_K .

This milestone unlocks funding for urban water & sanitation projects across Kenya.
