Before bed prayer based of Psalm 51:
Dear God,
I come to you tonight, feeling your presence in this quiet moment before I go to sleep.
Your love and mercy are so incredible, and I'm grateful for them.
I know I'm not perfect, and I've made mistakes.
Sometimes, I've let you down with the things I think, say, and do. But I'm learning that your love for me never gives up, and your mercy is always there to forgive me.
Please forgive me for my wrongdoings. I want to start fresh and have a clean heart. Wash away the wrong choices I've made and cleanse me from all the bad stuff in my life.
I want to change, God.
Help me become a better person with a right attitude and a heart that follows your ways.
I know it won't be easy, but with your love and strength, I believe I can do it.
Thank you for giving me the chance to confess my faults and find forgiveness in you.
It makes me feel closer to you, and I want to be closer to you every day.
As I go to sleep, I trust you to watch over me. Keep me safe and fill my mind with peaceful thoughts. I know you've got my back.
I can't thank you enough for your love and mercy. Tomorrow, as I wake up, help me remember this moment and strive to live in a way that honors you.
In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
