Some context
What I want to do is bring 20 more devs to Nyamarambe, each earning a minimum of 150k a month. Most of them will come from Nairobi. We're also preparing for the next cohort of students in September. By the end of next year, Reduzer alone is going to pump around Ksh 6 million a month through salaries, and I don't want that money going elsewhere. I want it to circulate in this town.
The biggest issue right now is housing, both residential and commercial. My devs are coming from Nairobi, and they're forced to look for decent houses in Kisii or Rongo. They need a good place to stay, nice hotels, entertainment, a good social life which is not here yet.
So I've started renting individual houses and renovating them. It's a proof of concept. I want to show the landlords here what it means to provide decent living, and show them that people are actually willing to pay for it. It's a long shot, but I'm very hopeful, since this is something Reduzer is genuinely interested in
@_TooThpasTe___ I have the Nothing Ear buds and the Nothing watch but I wanna move away from them coz they don’t work seamlessly with iPhones. I think for a Nothing phone the ecosystem would be efficient but I don’t like their phones.
Niliquit 9-5 ilikuwa inanilipa 150k/month.
Imenitake two years for my company kunilipa 67k/month na nafanya kazi from 7AM to 11PM every day, na sometimes unapata uko na employees wanakupea the hardest time ever, na kuwafuta kazi ni even more expensive.
Every month uko na bills za kulipa in the millions, end month kila mtu ako happy isipokuwa wewe juu uko na another 30 days kuraise another million. Na imagine all this trouble ndiyo net salary yako ikuwe 50k
Sometimes doh haitoshi unasema wacha ulipe the employees alafu KRA utawatumia yao by 9th, unajaribu kupata loan bank inakataa juu hauna shamba ya security, inafika 15th unapata weird calls, unashika unapata ni KRA, unawaambia utawalipa next Friday, wanakuambia Friday haiwezekani, labda Thursday. Inabidi uongee with one of your clients akulipe mapema, anakusomea akikuambia biz haifanywi hivo but anaitikia eventually.
Next week inafika unalipa KRA, SHA,NSSF, Housing Levy. Unahave some peace kidogo only to realize that next week ni end month na this time uko na deficit kubwa kushinda last month, and the cycle continues.
Kama uko 9-5 na uko sawa, I can’t advise you to quit. Heri ujaribu entrepreneurship in parallel but usiquit job yako. It feels good when you tell people that you quit your job to pursue your dream but you also need to understand that your dream will take time before it starts paying the bills, and it might also die before you eat a shilling from it.
Some months ago, Alpha was loaded into a container in Mombasa port (F1).
Months later, Alpha lands in a new country (and continent), ready for the first fueling(F2), the trails (F3) and friends (F4)
This is how the plans went.... #Thread#AlphaLandrover#BreakingBorders
@lynda_marcia@TechFabrizoo I’ll still watch F1 for the engineering bit, rynnow I’m at a point I can tell why a car is fast and why the other isn’t. From the testing anyone could tell the RedBull had a poor chassis based on the second sector times. I’d continue watching for the geeky engineering etc.
@lynda_marcia@TechFabrizoo@lynda_marcia Max is currently a movement. Wherever he’ll go, he’ll bring viewership and revenue. But we all need him in Formula 1 till someone else can take the mantle of influence.
I think he assumes the audience are loyalists who’ve already watched the detailed videos regarding engine rebuilds, gearboxes etc or if you new you can go back to such videos.
