@blauereiter That is still one of my favs and I still watch, the intro is good, during this time when it came out I was still creating custom toon shaders and learning from this
@blauereiter Nice while I was visiting Japan saw this flyer at the movie theater and grabbed a couple various ones and Sekiro No Defeat was one of them, looking forward to this as well
@blauereiter Yes I def go back to Sargent from time to time, there are so many great paintings, we know how many great artists were birthed from him, be there are many little jems that are still there in the paintings
Ah!! We've been trying to get this working for months.
Basically, we can now capture a person and the objects they're interacting with in 3D from regular video. Motion for both, plus approximate object shape.
I've been excited about this for a while because so much of what people do involves stuff. If you want a robot to learn how to use a tool, or to understand someone's tennis swing, you probably want to know what the tool or racket is doing too.
Same goes for props in animation and everyday tasks in occupational therapy. There's a lot here.
Still imperfect, but this week it started working well enough that I wanted to show you.
@blauereiter Once FF Advent Children came out, lighting, texturing and advanced 3d model became available with hardware, it was years later we got to see Real Time rendering, @blauereiter check out FF XV There is KingsClaive movie
@blauereiter The rememberable parts for me were the hand deformers that were placed in the hand to simulate real human hand movement and the in house servers they had used render the film, there was a book on Alias Wavefront Maya that went into further details about it
