Lol the SEC just starting to approve “electronic paperwork submittals” for documents and they think their ready to provide regulatory oversight to the blockchain industry. Pathetic…

So the SEC sends a Wells notice to Coinbase when we’ve had almost 8 federally regulated banks go down in the last 3 weeks because of mismanagement of customer deposits…why don’t you get your priorities right!
I think founders in NFT, like the one at @doodles, is likely undergoing extreme stress this last 3 months and finally snapped. I agree and disagree with @poopie. Long post time 🧵
Agree: You need a business beyond the NFT because there’s no recurring revenue.
Disagree: you don’t throw away your best community because you’re stressed. That is a horrible business strategy. Especially if you’re building a media company. This is where Yuga really gets it right.
Where to go next…If I were working at @doodles I would do the following:
1. If @poopie truly wants to go web2, then they NEED to hire a new executive that’s head of web3 delight. Let the founders do their web2 thing, but you have collectors and they need a champion. Sadly, you are not the champion right now.
2. Build native twitter social tools. @sappyseals and @wabdoteth made a fantastic move with the meme generator. Gamify your own version of it with the dooplicator.
3. Forget these customizable PFP items as a main driver. PFPs don’t really change because people build identity on them.
4. Work with @HologramLabs to make custom streamer and zoom avatars that can move with your art style.
5. Move beyond the Pharrell narrative because I don’t believe that’s going to work. Of course keep those initiatives, but think about more grassroots in your community creators. Find them and give them funding to make you content. Go the studio 71 route. That’s how you build media now.
6. Funny af tiktok and Instagram reels clips. Copy Azuki and make cute 60 second or less animations. Young people don’t watch long content anymore unless it is big budget.
7. You don’t need to make your own game. Build a partnerships division and fund indie games that use your IP.
8. Host weekly ama spaces for at least 2 months. Collect feedback.
9. Where is your ceo? He needs to be more active even if he’s a Hollywood big shot with success. Need to speak with your community always.
10. Stop saying you aren’t an NFT company when your only audience is NFT people lolz.
I’m a young guy so I prob don’t know as much as your team. Just my thoughts.

Many of my startup friends see that I used to be an investment banker and have consequently asked me to explain to them what's going on with SVB as I would explain it to a 7 year old, so here goes:
