@bravemore1970s@EssexPR The answer is nobody is angry lol. It's just more distraction from reform.
Anyone who thinks ITV won't have had their legal team all over the investigation at every stage is deluding themselves.
@nedchester@TiceRichard Right? As if ITV won't have had their entire legal team watching the whole investigation like a shithouse rat to make sure they didn't do anything they could get into trouble for.
@JoePJRobertson The triple lock added Β£52 billion to the welfare bill since 2020. That's TWICE as much as the total annual spending on PIP just on *increases* to the state pension.
Your party did that. You were told for years it was unsustainable.
@WillCalverleyUK The triple lock has, by itself, added Β£52 billion to the benefits bill since 2020. The state pension has gone up by nearly 40% in 6 years.
Want to know why the benefits bill is ballooning? There's your answer. Thanks for that one, tories.
@Travelgeek747@Sonny496@d5_rss Nobody on the right wants to talk about the triple lock though. Pension age benefits are over 50% of bill. The state pension has gone up by nearly 40% since 2020, that's Β£52 billion extra on a single benefit.
Want to know why the benefits bill is out of control? Look no further.
@Sonny496@d5_rss You mean pensioners right?
The triple lock has driven the majority of welfare spending in recent years - to the tune of Β£52 billion since 2020. That's twice as much as the total annual spending on PIP purely in INCREASES to the State Pension. It's gone up nearly 40% since 2020.
@SkyNews Love how the media focuses on PIP (8.5% of welfare spending) but ignores the elephant in the room (state pension - 45% of welfare spending).
Want to know why spending is going up? The triple lock added Β£52bn to the bill since 2020 - that's twice the total annual cost of PIP.
