Crisis is a terrible thing to waste.
Apparently, when something traumatic happens, your mind enters a hyper-learning state.
This is the time to program your brain.
You must go into the real world and do shit that scares you or that you don't want to do. This how you build confidence and crush fears.
It's not a pill. It's not a therapy session. It's hard, but it works.
The way you build self-confidence is by taking on challenges (mental, physical, execution).
Over time, your brain starts trusting your abilities, so fear an anxiety fade away.
Hence you become more confident.
Make mistakes of ambition and not mistakes of sloth. Develop the strength to do bold things, not the strength to suffer.
-NICCOLO MACHIAVELLI, The Prince
At some point you realize, no matter how good are the intentions of others, humans are wired to optimize for their own outcomes.
Hence the quote:
“Nobody can give you freedom. Nobody can give you equality or justice or anything. If you're a man, you take it.”
- MALCOLM X
If the potential damage is moderate or reversible, don't give people the chance to say no.
Most people are fast to stop you before you get started but hesitant to get in the way if you're moving.
Get good at being a troublemaker and saying sorry when you really screw up.

“People who learn to control inner experience will be able to determine the quality of their lives, which is as close as any of us can come to being happy.”
- Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
To develop a unique perspective, people read and think in the vacuum, in their offices, at home.
That’s backward!
You should first experience, then learn wtf just happened and develop a perspective.
Uber started when a guy tried to get a cab from a conference in Paris.
Without constraints, there is no challenge.
Without deadlines, there is no directed action because art is never finished.
Without action, all the thinking, planning and debating is a waste of time.
Insight comes to those who ask the right questions.
“What if there were a way, without being an athlete, to feel what athletes feel? To play all the time, instead of working? Or else to enjoy work so much it becomes essentially the same thing.”
- Shoe Dog by Phil Knight
“Doing what you love is not always loving what you do. There’s an inherent sacrifice to it. Just like choosing a spouse, it’s not choosing someone who makes you happy all the time, it’s choosing somebody who you want to be with even when they’re pissing you off.”
