For #WorldNatureConservationDay I organised a volunteering day at my local nature reserve. Loads of things achieved by the team to help the conservation work there continue. Lots of lovely wildlife and flowers to be surrounded by for the day.

Today I’m at the @wirralunplugged #pickandmixparty where families can explore #screenfree Sunday time together.
Today on offer is making Greek pots, making koi banners, playing On The Riverbank and I will be there to build bridges over our river.
Tickets available on the door.
Sir David Anderson, partner in Mott, Hay and Anderson, was born #onthisday 1880. He was involved with construction of the #Mersey Tunnel, #Tyne Tunnel, Tees Newport Bridge and widening Blackfriars bridge. https://t.co/gq06StgQEW
I did engineering workshops with F2 students last week as part of their castles project. Today I received these two beautiful thank you cards from the classes I worked with. They have such lovely messages inside. So, so lovely to get these!

I’m really looking forward to the event I’m heading to on Thursday. 60 4 and 5 year olds will be doing workshops with me throughout the day for their castles topic. Don’t get to do many groups this young and I think it’s going to be a blast! #inspiringthefuture#civilengineering
Managing Director of @ramboll India, Vidya Basarkod, would like to congratulate all her fellow women engineers for being partners in transforming business, community, and society and inspiring the next generation of women engineers.

Happy #InternationalWomeninEngineeringDay
Yesterday I spoke about my experiences as a civil engineer and today I’m loving seeing my social media pages filled with lots of engineers celebrating today.
Would anyone like to give a shout out to an amazing woman in engineering?
This evening we’ve been picking strawberries and raspberries in the garden and eating them in the sunshine. Lots of rhubarb picked too and looks like the cherries will be ready soon. Anyone else growing fruit this year? 🍓🍒

So lots of exciting things have been happening in my Twitter absence. One of those things was winning an Outstanding STEM Ambassador award with @STEMLearningUK 😁
I got to meet @SpaceMascotUK at the event and you should go check out CASSiE and see all the cool stuff they do! 🪐
Hello again Twitter! It’s been a while!
Things got a bit slow on here with the pandemic and me having my daughter and then I managed to get myself stuck out this account.
But now I’m back and ready to spread engineering joy and share my musings on being an engineering mum. 👷🏻♀️
@MichaelRosenYes The fantastic way Miss Hale read George’s Marvellous Medicine. When I read it to my children now I always try and copy the brilliant way she did Grandma’s voice. She really brought that story to life- still one of my favourite books.
If you love #STEM, you’ll love #Pitch200.
It’s where @ICE_engineers have just 200 seconds to explain an aspect of #CivilEngineering.
But only YOU can decide who wins!
Catch up on all the Pitch 200 videos & vote for your favourite.

A local charity that mean a lot to me put out a request for an engineer with CAD experience to help them with their new support centre. Started this week on the measuring to make them the floor plans for them. A very different project for me to volunteer on for a little while!
@rrraahh I didn’t have a sentence for necessary, but did require the prompt “one Collar, two Sleeves.”
Even though I use it frequently, I never get ‘convenient’ correct. I always have to check that one. Maybe I need to make myself a prompt for that.
Ending @30DaysWild with this busy little bee 🐝
We’ve really enjoyed noticing nature a bit more this month. Highlights were feeding the foxes and hedgehog, seeing a bat in the garden and seeing the videos of baby birds hatching.
