Completed in 2018, the 15-storey 387,000sqft. Applewatta housing complex is part of the Government’s long-term Urban Regeneration Project. It consists of 480 fully equipped housing units for families from underserved settlements and slums in the area.

An iconic bridge spanning Sri Lanka’s longest river, the Mahiyangana Sakura Bridge spans 224m across the mighty Mahaweli River on its journey from Horton Plains to Koddiyar Bay in Trincomalee. The bridge was constructed by Maga in 1998.
