@Thekillerhertz@DominicMcGregor Notice how none of them are economists. If I am trained in economics and am immensely smart ( which obviously I am ) if I denied that the Earth is round would that make flat earth theory more credible?
@NeoRothbardian Yes. The government shouldn't regulate the weapons individuals may choose to own. Also nuclear weapons have legitimate industrial uses so prohibiting them is also in effect regulating industry, which is also outside the bounds of legitimate government.
@sigmahamster2 I cannot wait for the inevitable quote from some politician who isn an economist and who either didn't understand or didn't implement neoliberal economic policies
Biweekly reminder that Dr. Thomas Sowell once offered a cash prize for anyone who could cite a single economist that endorsed “trickle-down theory”. No one collected the prize because it’s a fabricated strawman!
@systemofasalem Because they don't actually condemn pedophilia, they only care that it happened in the US and was perpetrated by the elite. Look at how they ignore systemic rape and pedophilia in countries they align with
@Moone_darkside@trashcometh@Aesthetic_wall4 1) robbers bring tools
2) Criminals don't obey the law, some of them will still have guns
3) a homeowner is at much greater advantage if both parties have a gun compared to if neither party has a gun because a hand to hand brawl negates all knowledge of his home
@wallaceme So yeah them greedy CEO's have stolen 9/10s sleeves so they can horde them and not share them with society, yeah. We need to introduce a tax of 7000%, yeah, on anyone who owns more than 12 individual sleeves to solve this and that yeah.
Short version: some people became successful, so they bought clothes with sleeves, and as a result of this greed there now aren’t enough sleeves left for Gary to have any. This is how inequality works.
“What in effect unites the socialists of the Left and the Right is this common hostility to competition and their common desire to replace it by a directed economy.”
— Friedrich Hayek
