Mexico City! What a delight it is to have this trip come to fruition. A superb city, a brilliant football culture and an historic stadium to watch our team play.

Here is some advice for fans ahead of Sunday.

𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐜𝐨
Should you use an e-Gate to enter the country, you will be given a slip of paper that you must keep for your exit. Follow the instructions on the paper.

If you enter via speaking to an agent, you’ll get a stamp in your passport and no slip of paper.

Make sure to take official taxis only, do not hail, Uber works really well.

𝐆𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐮𝐦
We would advise getting to the stadium as early as you can. The stadium opens 4 hours before KO and entry can take up to an hour so please do not leave it late.

From areas such as Polanco, La Condesa and Roma, use public transport.

If you take a taxi, expect a long wait in traffic and a long walk at the drop off point.

There is no parking at the stadium.

Special trains will run from Taxquena to the stadium. Below is travel advice from a couple of areas in the city.

💧590ml clear water bottle allowed, cap may be removed. Buy bottled water.
🛂If you aren’t going to take your passport, make sure to take a copy

❌No vapes, umbrellas or camera bags
🎟️Ticket resolution centres at the stadium

Access can take some time, as can exit depending on how busy public transport is.

Mexico is a superb city with a vast amount available. We would recommend the following areas for eating and drinking:

Roma Norte, Condesa and Polanco & Juarez.

❌On matchday, do not go to Paseo de la Reforma, especially near the Angel of Independence Statue. This is a large gathering point for the Mexico supporters both before, during and especially after where there were unfortunately fatalities at a previous game due to crushing.

• Look after each other, keep an eye on your belongings. Stay with friends if possible
• Use official taxi services (Uber). Do not hail a taxi on the street, especially the pink cabs
• Do not drink the tap water
• Use bank ATM’s
• If you aren’t going to take your passport, make sure you have a copy
• Enjoy! The city is fantastic, the people love their football. A big game for both teams.

The Fans’ Embassy will be located at Torre del Angel on Saturday 4th July from midday-5pm, near the British Embassy and the Angel of Independence. Issue 204 of the Free Lions is available to collect.
