We are deeply saddened to learn that David Johnson has passed away aged 71.

David made eight appearances and scored six goals for the #ThreeLions between 1975 and 1980.

All of our thoughts are with his family and friends.

The blue shirts (pictured below) from that match are a holy grail for shirt collectors and the result perhaps prompted England to wear red shirts going forward.
