Recently added to the Leaving Cert English course, @McMahonPhilly's play 'Once Before I Go' is a massive hit and our book recommendation for this week. Dealing with important issues around LGBTQ+ rights and the AIDs crisis of the 1980s, we loved this humorous Irish play! 👏🏻
As part of our literacy initiative, students & staff of KCS submit book recommendations to members of the Literacy team that we distribute amongst our school community on a weekly basis. We love hearing what students & staff are reading for pleasure & sharing the joy of reading
This week's recommendation is a fun rom-com from Beth O'Leary, for a more mature audience. It's a lovely little beach read or if you are in the middle of a reading slump. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Students in TY10 are playing a game of Top Trumps using Shakespearean Profanities cards, where they have to come out on top with the best Shakespearean Insult. A fun, interactive way to engage students in Shakespearean language.
