England fans often get plenty of stick at major tournaments, but fair play to these lads last night for staying behind to help clear up after themselves. ๐๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ
@Judyastley@authordlewis It's got nothing to do with Brexit. It's because France has a lot of privatised road networks that are managed by private companies. Not the state. You have to pay to use certain roads like this one in France.
@silenceothebams@authordlewis A lot of the UK is just as rural but I do see where you coming from as France is bigger than the UK but the biggest reason is because France has privatised road networks. Means lesser traffic and higher quality as its maintained by mostly private companies.
@authordlewis French roads are privatised. Not completely, but a lot are, and you have to pay to drive on them. This means they are higher quality and are less used or busy. We'd never have that here because socialists wouldn't allow it.
@russe18476@Shwitter18@chrisbairdfilms The monarchy has Scottish DNA. If Scotland voted to become independent, they'd still keep the monarchy, unless they have a vote to become a republic. The whole of the UK hates the government.
@GaelicRoadSign Bagpipes have a long connection o England as well. Search up English bagpipes. And the tartan was invented by two English brothers named John Carter Allen and Charles Manning Allen. We have tartans in our culture, too. Our culture is even more rich than your one.
@julesmarbles@Catherinelc94 Lager? I think you mean ale, which is the indigenous drink of these isles. And England has a richer history and national identity than Scotland. We have much more to be proud about.
@Roddy94272156@The_Forty_Four ''Little Englanders'' was a term for English people who were against the British Empire and colonisation. Most of your best players are English + Scots behave just as poorly at football games.
@JohnnyDundee England would probably be a bit lower down, while Scotland would be near the bottom. Being united makes us stronger. And if we were united under one football team, we'd be the strongest football team about.
@JohnnyDundee The thing is though, if Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland were represented at different teams in the Olympics, we wouldn't be third in the all time medal league.
@DandyDonSF The world doesn't hate the English. But a small fraction do and may prefer Scots only because they're uneducated and don't understand the Scots played just as a much of a role in the British Empire was the English did. Of course, the common people never did. But remember that.
@HMFC_1874_@ReeceMilner10 This is like something a secondary school pupil says. Nobody is tattled about the tartan army. Nobody cares about the Tartan Army and you hardly get into the World Cup. Why would we care?
@HMFC_1874_ We aren't. A lot of us are tired of Scotland bringing England up. If you guys didn't, we wouldn't care. It's mostly to defend our country. You suffer from a severe small country victimhood complex and it puts you down so much. It reeks that you are not a confident country.
@Juampiapi@omegaboi6@TheFemoid Scotland played a huge part in defending the Falkland Islands and defeating your country and played a massive role in the British Empire and the unification of England and Scotland under one realm. Just pointing that one out.
@rape_netanyahu@HBGG2004@SunAa633134 Hate immigrants yet have the most immigration in the UK? We do, only because our country has been overflooded with it. It's OK to state you want more immigration in Scotland or Wales yet nobody wants to go there.
@TheScotlandView@MilanZak6@MainStPocket You wanted to merge into one kingdom with us to access English wealth and markets and ideas. You only became relevant on the world stage after the Act of Union due to the exposure of English ideas and markets. You haven't told the world nothing as they never listened to you.
@slainbyelf@kirstx3 The English always qualify for the World Cup. Scotland last did 30 years ago. We have passion every World Cup. All your best players are mostly English.
@kirstx3 Scots aren't more liked than the English. It's just you you barely qualify for any major tournaments. Your fan base is tiny compared to England's and ''football is coming home'' is often irony. A lot of your best players are English.
@Hptvvz@lucus090909 Plus, we would've founded the Bank of England without having a Dutch king, as the King had limited power now, as accepted by him and his English wife when they became joint monarchs. It was Parliament who were running the show now.
@Hptvvz@lucus090909 The events of 1688 is a coup, not an invasion. A Dutch king was invited to ''invade'' England with his English wife (who were both heirs to the throne) to protect the Protestant faith. It's true King William brought an army with him, but it wasn't an invasion.
