DHC PHA Clear Project
Here are some of the highlights over the past few months with the help of funding from the Clear Project. Delivering @TAMHI2011 Mental Health Games to our Academy players by our delivery partner Enhance Your Wellbeing NI.
@bangorfc
I am delighted to share that I am available to offer private counselling for adults. I can offer this face to face, via telephone or online.
I am a fully insured Integrative Counsellor, registered with the BACP, specialising in grief, sports and men's mental health.
Last night I had the pleasure delivering @TAMHI2011 Mental Wealth Games to Portavogie Youth as part of the PHA Clear Project. Last night we concentrated on Anti-Bullying, Choices and Targeting your problems.
Feedback has been fantastic and great engagement from the players.
Happy New Year to everyone from me. It has been a fantastic year having the privilege of working alongside so many wonderful people.
We hope to add Counselling Services later in 2025, wishing you all the best for the year ahead. ❤️
Carniny Youth Ahead of the Game
Last night saw us travel to Ballymena Bowling Club to deliver the AOTG workshop to coaches and volunteers from Carniny Youth.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable night and a lot to take away
Ashfield NISC Ahead of the Game
Out of all the workshops I have delivered this was probably one of the most enjoyable. A group of men being open, honest and authentic about their wellbeing. Some real powerful stories shared in a safe environment.
West Ham player Michail Antonio talks about how therapy helped him understand himself better and gave him increased awareness. Therapy helped him fall in love with the game that he didn't enjoy anymore.
This is a very interesting podcast to listen to.

Loving this choice of book by Brian Tracy
Ridgeway Rovers AOTG
Last night we had the pleasure of delivering the IFA Foundation's Ahead of the Game programme to Ridgeway Rovers FC Coaches and Committee.
It was very well received and the participation and engagement in the room was fantastic.

Pressure can be seen as a distraction, or it can raise anxiety in sportspeople. When the individual realises that pressure is a privilege and that they have earned it, it can liberate the individual and allow them to flourish.
Postpone your worry
In today's fast pace world, the intensive demands and the idea of constantly planning for the future. No wonder anxiety is at an all time high.

A fantastic response from a manager is so attuned to the feelings and need to support his players. The one quote I take away from this interview is "We have to treat Lyle for what he is, a human being".
