Hey #ASHP hospital #pharmacy folks- how does your hiring/interview/selection process for clin specialists differ from #pharmres process? Use of LOIs, interview components, selection committee etc? What's the current norm folks should expect after residency?
Pro-tip from your overnight hospital pharmacist. Learn which units have communal ice cream in the freezer, which always have a supply of spoons and bowls, and keep everyone happy with occasional chocolate molten lava cake. #leadership#cake#PharmEd
to my #hospice colleagues - thank you. You may not know who meaningful it is to hear from a #HospiceRN that you're doing a good job caring for a loved one.
@rybaroxaban So proud of you and your commitment. I've seen you work SO hard and tackle some hurdles during this process! Take some time to celebrate this weekend!
Dear residency directors, if you agree to serve as a reference for a candidate you're not willing to interview for your own program, you are part of the problem. Bad mouthing candidates when you could simply decline their request is a low move.
Having a full circle moment - I was the interviewer for my next resident's pharmacy school application six years ago. I'm so excited to see what she does in her PGY2.

@addisonvmartin SO many people have been incredibly successful after hitting this exact snag. I have every reason to believe you could be just as successful!

@JPhamPharmD Sorry. Not sorry. :)
(Just now seeing this. Now you know why I bring snacks!)
(Please don't teach my cloud to find its way upstairs to the ICUs...)
Was reminded the other day by a current PGY1 res of this blog post regarding #ashp#pharmres ranking. She said this was helpful while finalizing rank list last year.

Happy to be your impartial objective sounding board.

@EMToxRx @DrKathMD I wish all cooks and recipe writers understood this. It is SO applicable and there is no better way to communicate what it means without knowing it.
Haven't posted in a while, but this nugget was the highlight of all conversations I had this past week and needed to share. Such a helpful way to frame a conversation about goals and career.
